My Life

My name is Mary (Ilham) Ali Hariri. I was born in south Lebanon, Tyre. I lived there for the first years of my young life. Of course you have no idea what my childhood was like. i lived every day in a war torn nation. I was scared and frightened all the time wether there would be bombs falling on me. I finished my High school years there. in my teen years there was a big change in my life. I was able to move from Lebanon to the United States. This was a big step for me.

When I first came to America i understood nothing for I only spoke Arabic and French. I went back to school and learned I had to complete high school again here. I went to college for two years at the University of Toledo and graduated in 2003. At this time I started my bachelors degree and completed this in 2005. I graduated with a grade of 98 percent, and graduated with honors. The help I had from my friends was a grand thing for they were there for me to help me get through these 4 years. I then recieved a scholarship from the state of Ohio to complete my masters degree. my major in this was in Business management. I am suppose to graduate in the year 2007. At that time i will have completed a thesis on teh book that i will be translating from Arabic to English. There will be two books that will be printed in December 2007 and will be the first book i have written with my name as author.

Right now i am working with handicap students. This gives me alot of experience in something I have never tried before. I have done alot of different jobs before but this one is so fulfilling for me, to know i am helping other people to live a better life. i also have had the joy of giving speeches about my religion and what it is like, so that they can see and understand that my God is a kind merciful God and that my people are not terrorists but have love of man.

MY DESIRES:

Plant flowers, write poems, and exercise(swimming, tennis)

MY PERSONALITY:

I believe that i am a very sensitive person. I am a bit on the nervous side and am very outgoing. I have an open mind about all things. Race, religion etc. I love working in the outdoors and kids and i am very careing towards people and desire to be of help to all I know.

PAINFUL SITUATIONS:

Something that makes me cry from deep in my heart is the grandson for the Prophet Mohammed (eman huessain)

I see a war in my country, Lebanon, and how young innoent children and adults died for no reasons.

I lost my son Mhammed Ali to things that was beyond my control. my heart has been broken and scared deeply form it.

MY DREAMS:

I wish to go back to Lebanon one day in my life. And at that time it is my dream to have a huge,. huge house to take care of all the poor children without family and help them to learn and become adults free from pain.

LOVE:

God is love, if you don" have any love in your heart then you are like a stone. So the first love in my heart is my God. The prophet Mohammed and his family and grandchildren.

My mom has a big place in my heart.

My children also, and they are my future.

Alot of love for Lebanon my first country and America my second country. I hope that one day there will be peace between these two countries.
